Thirty years since the first application of Extracorporeal Lithotripsy, nothing reminds of the past. Modern lithotripters, new focusing techniques, expansion of indications but also confusing dilemmas: which device? for which patient? when? how many times? And after lithotripsy, comes the big headache: elimination of stone fragments. How do we handle this? When should we intervene and how?
