Short CV: 

Stelios Voulgaris was born in 1972 in Thessaloniki. He studied at the Medical School of AUTh and then specialized in Urology at ‘Theageneio’ Cancer Hospital of Thessaloniki and ‘Hippocrateion’ General Hospital of Thessaloniki. In 2005 he took a sabbatical and received further training in prostate diseases at Guy’s Hospital in London; in 2006 he was awarded his specialty title in Urology. He returned to the United Kingdom, where he worked as a Registrar at Southend University Hospital (2006). In 2007 he started his Fellowship in Prostate Brachytherapy at St.Luke’s Cancer Centre, University of Surrey, UK, which he completed in September 2008, when he returned to Thessaloniki. He worked as a scientific associate of the Urology Clinic at ‘Hippocrateion’ General Hospital of Thessaloniki (2008-2009), where he was Head of the Prostate Department. Since 2008 he has been the Head of the only Prostate Brachytherapy Centre in Northern Greece. He has published 4 international papers on PubMed.
