He was born in Veria in 1972 and is a Graduate of the School of Medicine of the University of Ancona, Italy (2000). He completed his Specialization in Urology (2011) at the University Hospital of Ioannina. He is a PhD candidate at the School of Medicine of the University of Athens with a Doctoral Thesis on: "The effect of low doses of Phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitors on qualitative and quantitative parameters of semen" (2010) under the supervision of Professor Sofikitis. Through examinations he received the FEBU title (Fellow of the European Board of Urology) (2012). He has authored 9 papers in foreign journals, 1 paper in a Greek journal and a chapter in a foreign language book. He was an invited speaker at one European Conference (26th Annual Congress of EAU, Section of Andrological Urology - Current uroandrological research activities at major European clinics) and 8 Greek conferences with very positive comments. He presented several free communications and poster presentations at European and Greek conferences. He was awarded two honorary distinctions (1st Prize) at the 20th National Congress of Urology and (1st Prize) at the 21st National Congress of Urology. He participated in 3 research protocols. He is a Member of the European Association of Urology, the Greek Urological Association, the Greek Andrological Society, the Urological Association of Northern Greece and the Section of Andrology and Infertility of the Greek Urological Association. He is particularly interested in Andrology, Oncology and Reconstructive Surgery of the urogenital system. He is a Scientific Research Associate of the Department of Urology of the University of Ioannina. From May 2012 onwards he runs a private practice in Veria. However his restless spirit makes him seek further knowledge because education and training never stops.
