He is a Graduate of the Faculty of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Hellenic Military Academy of Corps Officers. After completing his service as an Non-specialized Physician in the 401 General Military Hospital of Athens and as a Medical Corps Company Commander in the periphery of the country, he trained in the Urology Clinic of the "G. Gennimatas" General Hospital of Athens and acquired the title of Medical Specialization in Urology and the F.E.B.U. title (2010). He worked for about 6 months as a Registrar at the 401 General Military Hospital of Athens, whereas, currently, he is the Head of the Department of Medical Support of the Training Centre of Special Forces while exercising Urology in private practice. He is a PhD candidate at the University of Athens with the Doctoral Thesis subject: "The prognostic value of thymidine kinase 1 (TK1) expression in the five-year disease-free survival and overall survival in patients who underwent radical cysteoprostatectomi by reason of invasive bladder cancer". He has participated with free communications and poster presentations at Greek and international conferences and has trained in Emergency Medicine in the Walter Reed Army Medical Centre, Washington DC, and in 2010 he participated in the Urotour program for one week in the activities of the Urology Department of the Bristol Urological Institute, Bristol University, United Kingdom.
