PRESS RELEASE

The Centre for Sexual and Reproductive Health (CSRH) of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki celebrates its 15th year anniversary. The CSRH contribution to informing and raising public awareness on issues of sexual health, as well as to providing training for  Experts,  is considered to be highly substantial and fruitful.

More than 50,000 people have found support and assistance through the famous open-help hotline and plenty more have been informed about issues of interest through other activities of the Centre.

The helpline has been replaced by an electronic portal (www.imop.gr) in which each person finds answers to all the issues that concern them.

The website www.imop.gr offers the most reliable scientific knowledge arising from global research and presented by the Academics comprising the scientific manpower of the Institute for the Study of Urological Diseases (ISUD).

On the occasion of the European Day of Sexual and Reproductive Health on February 14, CSRH launches a campaign called "SEXinfo graphics". It is about information graphics, a modern form of providing information with the use of icons and meaningful messages, structured in a way that is very pleasant and easy to understand.

The information graphics generated by CSRH ‘condense’ the scientific knowledge of the most valid clinical trials worldwide and provide answers to popular questions related to human sexual life.

Thanks to their special iconography, Infographics help convey key messages, provide answers to existing questions and common concerns and facilitate the transmission of knowledge.

CSRH presents the first two SEX-infographics entitled: "12 myths about sex" and "The Secrets of Good Erection". By the end of 2013, ten more infographics will be completed, each one dealing with a different issue of sex life.

Thereby, the Centre continuous providing information and raising public awareness, ultimately promoting sexual health as an indispensable part of integrated human health.
